As you all know, 11 was voted for prom king. But what you don't know is how
he got that position. I'm going to take you behind the scenes and
investigate how 11 won the honorable place of prom king.
On Saturday, June 10, the Times Editor emailed me and said that there seemed
to be
something fishy about 11. The Editor also gave me some leads about the
election.
I thanked the editor and rushed to Whyville.
When I was logging on, my mind was asking "Wait a second! The Times Editor
said that he may have stuffed the ballot box! How could he do that though?"
I logged in and sent 11 a short and sweet Y-mail as follows:
Hey 11-
I've been hearing some rumors that you stuffed the ballot box with votes for
yourself. What do you have to say about it? How did you do it? Y-mail me
back and tell me what you think!

I then
posted the case at the BBS and had to sign off Whyville. The next
day, I continued the search. I stared at the login screen, because I was so
tired. But one thing caught my eye. The sign up link!! 'That's it!' I
thought '11 made up fake names so he could vote for himself so many times!'
I signed in quickly, only to find that 11 hadn't responded to my Y-mail,
and he still
hasn't to this day. Here are some of the responses I got to my BBS posting:
7- I think he's been hacking into accounts
iMiTaTe- I'm not sure. I doubt there's a way to stop it.
KaWoods- I don't know if there's a way to stop ballot stuffing but
Whyville
already stops people from voting multiple times by counting only 1 of their
votes. That's a valid point though, spazchick.
69ers- you should name someone else king!!!
11- You have it all wrong! That's all I have to say! (that's the only
response I got from him)
'Ok', I thought, 'that wasn't all that helpful! At least now I know that
people think he should be dethroned.'
Well, I'm sum this up for you. 11 most likely made up fake names to vote
for himself. He should be
dethroned, because nobody wants a cheater for a king. There should be some
sort of way to stop this in the future, maybe some new kind of device. But,
for now, he should be stopped. It looks like this case is closed!
