Does music divide the youth? Does it control the way we act? or even the way we dress?

I think it does, and I think you will too by the end of this article.

There are many types of music; a few examples would be: rap, hip-hop, R&B, punk, heavy metal, hard rock, rock, country, and many more. I think it if you were to study a city for a day, you would find that people who listen to the same music tend to hang out with each other. I proved myself correct when I saw the kids at high school on lunch break. Rappers were hanging out with rappers, punks with punks, metalheads with metalheads... I think you see what I'm getting at.

As for the way we dress, well, rappers wear popular clothes that you can see popular rap or hip hop artists in, and for shoes they tend to wear basketball shoes, even when they're not playing basketball. Punks wear studded things, like belts and bracelets. They also were band shirts with band names on them. 'Metalheads' or goths tend to wear black and the footwear of choice are black boots.

I'm not trying to make stereotypes, but this is something I have observed.

As you can see, music has a great influence on the way youth act, dress and form groups. All in all, I think you should be you and not spend all of your time trying to impress others. Don't become a part of a trend, because trends come and go and you will eventually find yourself caught up in a mess.

Be You,
