Hello fellow Whyvillians! I am writing in response to an article a citizen wrote
titled "Back to School With Whyville". In that article, a Why-School was
suggested, where you could find help with schoolwork, like a "tutor group".
Well, here goes my opinion....
I think a tutor group would be great! Whyville could add a Why-School Link on
the Bus Menu where we would be taken to a... you guessed it, Why-School. We could
have a contest for the begining of the School. Whyvillians would
send in names of the school, and Whyville would pick the top 3, then make it into a
poll, letting the citizens decide the name of our Why-School. Or, instead of a
name contest, a motto or slogan contest.
People wanting to tutor and/or wanting help could send in an application as was
metioned before, and Whyville could match up tutors, and citizens. I'm 99.9 percent
sure that the Whyville School would be a success! Kids and teenagers of all ages
could come on Whyville for help. Besides, this is supposed to be an educational
website. We might even be able to have Whyville set up classrooms and book meetings
for tutors and citizens to work in each classroom, where they cannot be disturbed.
Time to go, I can hear my dinner calling me...
