Hey, I'm Blink1828 and I decided to write another article. It's been a while, so bear with me here.

As most people in the world are aware, the United States has gone to war with Iraq. And while many people in the U.S. are not too happy about this, we need to face facts. I always hear "War is not the answer!" Well then, I ask you, what IS the answer? Is it really that wrong for us to become involved in this business? If you say yes, it is wrong, then think about this: what would have happened if we didn't stop Hitler? What would have happened if the U.S. had gotten involved even earlier?

My mother tells me that it is quite different, and in some ways I agree, it is. Germany was power-hungry back then and was taking over all of Europe. Saddam Hussein hasn't gone that far; he doesn't have enough power. But from what I have seen and heard, Hussein has killed hundreds of thousands of people in his country.

In my English classroom, a cartoon is pinned to the wall. It has people being hung by their necks saying, "Don't worry about us, keep on revolting." But if they revolt, they die. Is it right for us to leave people like that?

Another point people bring up is that many, many people are dying in Africa of starvation and lack of water. Why aren't we helping them more? I don't know. I don't think it's right that so many of us live in such comfort when people would be glad to eat the food we throw away.

Sorry there, I guess I got a little off the subject. My point is, what could happen to the Iraquis if we do nothing could be much worse than what we are doing now. Feel free to y-mail me your thoughts. I'd love to hear them, really.

I support the war,
Blink1828
