It was a bright and sunny day
When we all went outside to play
We didn't know what we had in store
When we went down to the shore
We set up our blanket and put on our gear
The sounds of the ocean were tickling our ear
We ran to the water, this would be so much fun
Splashing and playing, outside in the sun
I saw something shiny down in the sand
It could be a treasure from a far away land
We all started digging and to our delight
We found that our crazy suspicions were right
A treasure! we yelled when we pulled it up
Enough gold to fill up a cup
We all agreed this was the best day
By now it was late so we all 'hit the hay'.
