Hey guys, this is bbdd, I guess I'm attempting to write yet another article. The topic of this article is about people begging. How many of you have ever begged for clams? How many of you have been encountered a beggar? I'm sure that all of you will say that one of the above applies to you.

Let me take you back to when I was a 'newbie'. The first day I joined Whyville, everyone was nice and caring. although they didn't give me clams, they offered me advice and tips about Whyville. I didn't even ask for help. Back then begging was rare. In fact I haven't begged for clams in any of the time I have been a Whyvillian. Life was easier with the advice of others, but I also am glad that no one gave me any face parts or clams.

You may be thinking that clams and face parts mean everything and that they're a must have -- even if you need to beg for them. Wrong! I get y-mails from people who have been on Whyville for 6 months or sometimes even more, and all they are interested in chatting to me about is clams and asking (mainly without so much as a please) if they can have a few 100 clams. Get real! I got to where I am without begging, so why can't you?

Learn to be independent ???- don't rely on others. Quite often I see people that have lots of great face parts begging because they are broke! Most people who rely on others get into a pattern, and rely more and more on nice Whyvillians. Some never achieve anything on Whyville that they can point to and say, "I did that."

Another issue that I have to deal with every day is people asking me to raise their salary. I think we should be able to have a different report (not as severe as 911) for people who ask us to raise their salary. Asking others to raise their salary is completely against the Whyville Way. I consider it rude -- City Hall has already told us over and over again not to give out your password! SO DON'T!

One last thing before I sign off, don't abuse people if they say no to giving you clams. After all, it's their clams and they worked hard for them.

Sorry if I seem to be all grandparentish, but guys, it is annoying and you would be writing this article too if you were in the position that some Whyvillians are in. I don't consider myself a mean person, and most of my friends could say that I am a caring person, but I think the laziness of some people has gone too far.
