Hey, it's candypunk here, writing to you about after-school
activities. Lots of people do after-school activities, and for that I salute you.
Some people don't do after school activities, though, and for that I frown on
you! After-school activities are something everybody should do. They keep your
confidence up, and keep you fit. Who wouldn't want another hour or two a day to
have fun playing soccer, playing an intrument, or even singing in a choir? You
get to hang out with your friends, giggle and laugh, and play around a bit.
Now, I'll tell you what I think a typical youth's weekday is like (it might have a lot in common with my typical day...). First, you get up in the morning and brush your teeth. Then you go to your room and make-up your face (if you're a girl) and get dressed. You get all your books in your backpack and head on downstairs for some breakfast. You get to school in the morning and get out in the afternoon. You walk home with a couple friends and watch an hour of TV or an hour on the computer, your choice. Then your mom reminds you that you have to clean your room, so you do. Then you have dinner and do your homework.
Now, it may be the time of day where you go to your after-school activity. Let's say you do indoor basketball. You go to the gymnasium that you play in and get ready for your game (or practice) and say "hi" to all of your friends on the team. It's your turn to play and you get out and play your best! You get some baskets in,
and miss some baskets. But the big point is that you have fun! And you did.
*Laughs*.
Now you get home, have a snack and get your PJ's on. You watch a
little prime time TV and then go to bed. That's your day; hope you enjoyed it!
If you don't do an after-school activity, I urge you to do so! I'll hopefully be
back with more articles on a youth's life. But I'm signing off for now. See ya!
