I have asked questions of Whyvillians, asking them about what they
know about their safety here at Whyville. It seems to me that many Whyvillians
are not aware of some of the dangers they put themselves in just by being in
Whyville.
There are many strange and twisted people in this world. Who knows
what they could do to you or your friends just by getting your email, password and/or screen
name? What I'm trying to say is, be careful who you talk to. If they seem the
least bit suspicious... ignore it! But if they come near you asking personal
questions or even threatening you, warn them. If that doesn???t work, call
Whyville's 911. This comes from a Whyvillian who knows what its like to be
stalked.
This is just a WARNING!
Editor's Note: If people ask you personal information that could
be used to find where you live (something more specific than age/gender/city or state),
please 911 report them, even if you don't think they're doing it to stalk you.
Especially if they ask you what school you go to! People need to understand that
trading information on that level is not appropriate on the internet, even in Whyville.
