I live in a world
Apart from all other
A world of love
Conscience
And respect for my brother.

In my wondeful world
Things are all messed.
Everyone thinks
Before they talk
And friends are always the best.

In my gorgeous world
There are no such thing as worry.
People have time to be polite
And kind
When they are off in a flurry.

My world is called perfect
But is it really perfect inside?
Is Perfect as wonderful
And gorgeous
As it looks from the outside?

My world is not great
Though better in some ways.
I think before I talk
I stop to say hello
But, beneath, some sorrow lays.

So I draw myself back to the other world
I find myself caring
For the imperfections
And problems that
Make life worth bearing.

Remember; If you want to live in Perfect
Life would not be worth living
If there were no corny jokes and stupid songs
To make you
Laugh and sing.

Authors Note: I wrote this poem for my friend, who always says I'm "perfect" and wishes she were me.
