I hadn't been to Whyville in a while, for various reasons. When I came back, at
first there was a huge warm welcome from all my friends I hadn't seen in
forever! It was great, like seeing your best friend after years of separation.
But after the initial happiness wore off, I realized something. I wasn't the
same person that they had known 3 months ago. I had changed, and so had they. It
was weird.
They had new friends that I didn't know. I began to feel like an old newbie,
which is an extremely odd feeling. I felt as if I had been replaced, or at the
very least shoved aside. And it hurt. Oh boy, did it hurt.
The point of this sob story was this: friends are precious; cherish what you
have while you have it. Things will inevitably change. It just happens
that way. When they do, accept it, and move on. It's the best thing to do. That
doesn't mean you have to forget your old friends, but try to move on. Don't live
in the past.
This is Chica04, signing off, grabbing a tissue, and moving on.
P.S. To all my friends who know what I am talking about, I won't be coming back
to Whyville. I'll miss you all a ton, but it's better this way. See you around.
