Hello to all! This is my first acticle, but I'm going to remain unknown. I'm here to talk about overcoming fears!

About 7 or 8 months ago, I was riding my horse and I was coming into a jump and all of a sudden, my horse stopped. I flew over his head and landed on my back (owww!). I was riding with my mom and 2 other friends. My mom came over and I got back on the horse! well when we got back to the stable, I couldn't remember how to do anything! well we finished everything up at the tsable then I came home and my mom took me to the ER! when I got there the workers said that I have a pretty severe concussion! My mom took me home and I had many headaches.. well, that's how my fears first started, but it only got worse (my fears did).

I went back to riding and it was really hard for me to do it though. but it didnt just go back to perfect. Whenever I was riding, I would think about falling off and then everything would go downhill from there. Eventually, I got so scared I wanted to stop riding. My trainer got fed up with me and she asked me to leave!

It was horrible, but I moved to a new barn and I had to tell the new instructor about my past. She was very understanding and said that she would try to help me as much as I could. She suggested that I try to get my confidence back on a different horse, instead of my own. I started off on a really lazy old quarter horse. He was great and I thought I ws getting my confidence back! **Yeah!** But then, one day I was riding and he spooked (not normal for him) and he ran around the ring at a full gallop... I thought that I was going to die! I eventually stopped him, but my fear level went right back up to high.

Then I went back to riding my own horse and my trainer made me jump an itsy bitsy crossrail. She wasn't gonna let me quit until I did it. It took me a while, but I did it and it was great! Then I did it some more and I felt like I was almost back to old times! I just kept on going, and I'm doing great now.

To get over your fears, you just have to trust yourself and try something you may not be comfortable with. It may take a while, but you'll be able to do it just like I did!

Hope I didn't bore y'all too much! I'm still going to remain unknown, but I hope you guys get some good advice out of this.

Signing off... bye!
