Last year, my favorite teacher read to us The Man Who
Loved Clowns. It was a sad story; here is a little about it.
The story is about a girl, whose uncle lives with her. He is
a man on the outside, but a child at heart. Doctors are worried that he'll die
soon. On one day a terrible thing happens, that means "Punky" (that's what she
calls him) and her have to live with her aunt and uncle. From flushing shampoo
down the toilet, to "swapping" things at the store, she gets to know how nice
and heart-opening her uncle is.
When my teacher read it, she cried, and one student had to
read parts while she cried. If any of you like to read about sadness, and the
real world, I recommend The Man Who Loved Clowns. I give it 5 stars:
*****.
