Hi, this is duckee. This is my 2nd article, I think Everyday,
I go to the auditorium and I make 1 or 2 new friends, then all of a sudden
someone says, "BC [beauty contest], prize, press 123 to enter!" Once in a
while I will enter just for fun, but it turns into this HUGE competition! If
someone pretty gets 2nd or 3rd they'll just blow up and start yelling at the
judge! I mean, come on, it's just what someone thinks of a little cartoon head!
Plus, if someone thinks they look beautiful, and they lose a BC, they go crazy
earning more clams for better face parts!
The being beautiful part, now -- If YOU think your little cartoon dude is cute,
it is! But, some people don't care about that. They do the "dress to impress"
thing. That's really crazy, in my opinion. It doesn't matter whether your white,
black, goth, tanned or even purple or silver! If you think you're beautiful,
then so be it! Who CARES what other people think?!
It's really sad -- when I first joined on my other account (I don't remember it
now...) Whyville was a fun place for people to interact and have fun. But now
it's the race against the beautiful's. Recently, I did an accidental experiment,
where I tried different faces just for fun and got different responses. I tried
blonde, I got responses like "Hey babe, wanna go out?", "Hi!" or "Hi, wanna
chat? You look cool!" I was happy. But then I went to black hair... "What are
you?", "Umm... oook..." or nothing at all! Then brown came -- I love being
brown-haired and purple-faced, but some people don't! "What are you? An idiot?",
"Have fun being stupid and ugly!" and mostly NOTHING! But some people don't
exactly care.
I still have friends and I love you guys for that!
