Kirbie here. I have read several articles concerning
piercings, and the authors opinions on them. I feel it's my turn to express.
Okay, so I may not know much, having only three piercings (earlobes, ear
cartilage), but I have to respond to Mr. Editor. He commented that piercings DO
show off your personality, and gives people an opening to judge you. But what
does your piercing say about you, Mr. Editor? To me, piercings are just like
putting on makeup, or even dressing. Everyone is different, and everyone is
judged on it. You may think otherwise, and that's okay. But to me, piercings are
just another way of decorating yourself, or expressing yourself. How is that any
different than makeup, or clothes? You wear makeup to show off, or even to make
yourself look older. Same as piercings. You wear clothes, well, maybe not for a
reason, but either way clothes express your individuality. And what's so
different about that?
The thing is, people tend to judge you more on your piercings than your
clothing. My theory is that piercings are less common. People will always judge
you, but why do you care?
