I wrote a poem for school, and my friends thought that it was good enough to be published. It is an imagery poem concentrated on what you hear, feel, taste and smell.  Here it is:

"Wild"

A night out camping by the lake
the sad call of the loon
the crickets chirping,
the mosquitoes buzzing,
the rain pitter-pattering on the roof

you smell the rain,
the smoke from the smoldering fire,
the hot air in the tent.
you go out.

you feel the rain on your head,
the mud underneath your feet,
the bugs crawling across your toes.

you see the lake,
the elegant precision of the owl
as she swoops down to catch her prey
the water is so clear
you can see the fish
