Why did they do it? Why was it done?
Two airplanes crashed into the World Trade Towers
People thought it was a nightmare lasting hours and hours
It was terrorists, what more could we say?
History was made early in the morning today
That's all we discussed at school that week
It was hard for the teachers to even speak
One of my teachers had a son
Who was in the Navy, she knew what had to be done
She knew there'd be a war, he'd have to fight
She couldn't sleep at all at night
It's been 2 years and the war is done
Everybody's back to having fun
We're now restoring the Arab lands
We all know that we've been in God's hands
We look back on these days of history
Why it had to happen remains a mystery
God helped us through this time of pain
War... what do we lose? What do we gain?
