As I walk across the battle field,
Not knowing where I was,
Blood and bodies everywhere.
As if life unheard of.
Bodies of Aunts, Uncles,
Fathers and Mothers,
Brothers, Sisters,
Sons, and daughters.

As I walked across the battlefield,
I little bit more sure of where I was,
I noticed something ahead of me.
A hungry Iraqi soldier lying on the ground,
I help him up, I feed him, And he surrenders.
He says, "Thank You My Dear, for saving my life."
"You're welcome," I slowly reply.

As I walk across the battle field,
Now knowing where I was,
I hear something,
A gun shot!
I fall to the ground.
I realize that I'm no longer fighting,
I'm now an AOW.
No not a POW,
Not a Prisoner of War.
I am an Angel Of War!

As I walk across the clouds, the heavens,
The skies,
I know that now I'm in a world of:
Faith,
Hope,
Love,
And Peace.
Boy, am I relived!

And just think how it all started,
With a walk across the battlefield.

Still Walking,
Kjw93
