Here I am, sitting in Whyville minding my own business when someone comes up and
fires off a comment like "you're ugly" or "you newbie". I could write a short
story with just the things they say, but I think I have gotten to the point already.
What's funny is the only reason they say this to me is because of the way I look
-- or how my cartoon looks, I should say. And it's because of this that I have decided to
write this article on fashion.
I'm sure you all know the popular designers and have been in their stores
countless times because that's were all the "in" parts are.
Right?
Just because a
person may not have the "in" parts does not mean they are poor! Have you ever
stopped to think they just might want to be unique? Like me for example: some
say I look like an oldbie and, well, that is because I have some older parts. I
keep them
because they aren't so realistic and they aren't "in" and I know nobody else looks
anything like me! I myself prefer to look funny or different. Everyone has their own specific tastes,
and that's okay. It has nothing to do with wealth or the quality of the
person's personality!
Now, I have another thing that is a bit off the topic of fashion... but it has
something to do with the rude comments mentioned above. I hardly consider it an
insult to be called a newbie, because "newbie" is a term used for new Whyvillians. In my eyes a Whyvillian is a Whyvillian and Whyville is a great
place, so newbies should be proud to be newbies.
I know it's a short article but I felt the topics had to be addressed.
Later Days,

Editor's Note: And that's a True Whyvillian.
