The story begins...

Betty woke up to a tap on her window.

She had been making a resolution to wake up as early as possible for a week but she couldn't even stand one day! She looked over to her alarm clock and realized she'd slept in for 2 hours later than she was used to... she groaned and got up to comb her blonde hair.

She tied it into a ponytail and walked over to the bathroom where she showered and brushed her teeth.

'Tomorrow I'm going back to school at LAST,' she thought.

Then she went back to her room and made the bed.

RING RING RING

Betty quickly jumped out of her sleepyness and ran for the phone.

"Hello? Who is this?" Betty talked quickly.

"Ummm, it's Amada, I was just wondering if you could come to my house today and help me paint my room?"

"Well, I'm pretty busy and I just got up," she explained, embarrassed.

"Okay, but if you get the chance then please come! I really need your help! Everybody's busy with other things and they can't come."

"Okay then, bye!" Betty said and hung up before Amada got a chance to say anything.

Over at Sammy's house, Sammy was looking at the yearbooks of last year. She was so jealous of Betty for being the class leader. 'This year I'm going to get the medal for the leader!!! I would do anything to be the class leader. Maybe not anything but almost!!!' Sammy went back a few pages and read the page Betty wrote about the class.

"Betty is a good writer, I admit, but I think they should give somebody else a chance for being the class leader," Sammy said out loud to herself.

Sammy put the yearbook away and walked over to her book and read the novel. Halfway through the book she glanced at the clock and surprised herself by reading so fast and quickly in an hour! She'd read through half of the book without skipping a single word!!! She began her reading again and read for another hour but she didn't finish the book. She decided to take a walk around the neighborhood and trick Betty when she got to her house by tapping her window again. She new it was mean but she new that it was worth it!

The next day had come quickly and the school was voting for their class leaders. Abby wanted to vote for Kristan. She didn't want to be a leader herself because she wanted to be a good student and finish all her homework everyday and not bother with anything more. She watched as Kristan walked to the front of the class and put her name in the box. Kristan was voting for herself, which was pretty selfish but Abby understood her. Kristan had never been a class leader and she was desperate to be one this year.

Abby slowly looked around the room while other people were running to the box and dropping tickets inside.

"Okay everyone, this is the 2003-2004 class leader assembly, we will tell you the winner in a few seconds, any questions?" The teacher came up to the speaker and explained.

Everyone clapped and remained quite for awhile till the teacher came to the desk to tell the winners.

"Okay everyone, 3rd place went to... Sammy!!! She will be in charge of handing papers out and sending notices to the principal and other important jobs. May you give a applause to SAMMY!!!" The teacher read from her paper

A different teacher came up and looked at his paper and called out, "Second place gets to help the teachers and talk with the students when they do inappropriate things, and that goes to... drrr... Amanda!!!

Amada's friends cheered and a loud applause spread over the room.

"Now everybody, the moment you've been all waiting for... the winner is... Betty! Her 4th time being class leader!"

Everybody cheered and went back to their homeroom. Betty went to the front to get the supplies she needed and behind her came Amada and Sammy...

"Hi everybody, back to school and please get into your seats so we can start with the first activity in math today, Sammy, would you hand this booklet out to everybody in this classroom?" The math teacher called to her.

Sammy walked around the room and handed the sheets out. She then stopped at her desk when she finished and sat down. She was sooo mad at Betty for being class leader again!!! Fourth time!!!

After class, Sammy went to her locker to find something that would make Betty regret being leader of the class. She thought and thought of something really really mean....

At lunch, everything went well until Sammy got up from her table and yelled to the lunchroom that it wasn't fair that Betty got to be leader again and then she sat down. Everybody thought she was weird and laughed but then people noticed that Betty wasn't at lunch and a couple of her friends tried to look for her. Bridget thought that Sammy had done something horrible to her but she didn't know why. After lunch they saw her with a note and it said:

You should not be class leader again!!! This is getting me so frustrated! SO BEWARE SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU IN A COUPLE OF DAYS!!!

A couple of girls shrieked and hugged Betty but the others walked away: Abby, Kristan, and Melody. They were a 3 circle friend group and they stuck together.

At class time, Abby went to get a drink at the water fountain while everybody else was working on their projects. Bridget had been working on her project until she noticed that Abby was looking suspicious. Bridget snuck a peak at her and then saw that Abby was staring straight at her. She quickly turned away and thought about what was going on. Abby can be weird sometimes, she thought. Bridget found that she didn't need to work on her project anymore. Everything seemed prefect. She walked up to the teacher's desk and placed her papers down on the desk. The teacher said a quick thank you and walked over to Amada's desk. I wonder if Amada's in trouble, Bridget thought as she walked out of the classroom....

Betty got a note again saying that she could be in big trouble if she didn't meet the threatening person at the movie theater today. She thought of all the possible people that could be one of the suspects... Abby, Sammy and Bridget... She thought that Sammy or Abby would be the best people to suspect first. Bridget just stared at Abby and left the room early without telling the teacher, but Abby and Sammy were doing really serious things.... First Sammy got mad in front of the whole school and then Abby went to the water fountain closest to my locker instead of the one closest to the classroom! Abby must be the one who's sending those letters!!! She probably is pretending she likes Kristan to be the leader but she wants to be it herself. What a liar!!!

GUESS WHO THE LIAR IS???
