I just recently started in this town of Whyville, and at first, I was lost. But now, the pieces are all fitting together. I was searching everywhere trying to find answers that now I feel stupid for not knowing. I want you to share in the knowledge I've got now. So read my tips, and you'll be on your way to a great life in Whyville!!!

~*~Getting the Clams~*~
Getting clams isn't as hard as it might seem. All you need is a pretty good salary (see paragraph: Love that salary). Or, you can get your friends to send you ClamGrams, which is money that you can receive in your mailbox. You can also get clams by playing the games listed in your ledger -- some of Whyville's games give you bonuses, others raise your salary. You'll find out which ones raise your salary in the ledger. Your ledger is the black book that is placed in your satchel. Click on the ledger, and go to Salary (it will say this towards the top of the book)... then click on the names of the games to go play! It is simple, isn't it?

~*~Love that salary~*~
After you play many games, your salary will go higher. Your salary is the amount of money you'll receive each day. So for instance, when I logged on today, I got 13 clams (I'm just a beginner, some Whyvillians get over 100), and tomorrow when I log on I will get another 13 clams. This is my salary. I can improve it by playing games, and getting new medals I haven't earned before, and doing better at those games.

~*~Grandma helps. That's a fact!~*~
Grandma helped me out in SO many ways. She gave me face parts before I added up clams to get this face. All you do is venture to Grandma's and click on the table for face parts. She will give you what she has. You can also get bricks from her, and furniture.
