Hey this is Sugarz, the other day while I was in my satchel, I stopped while
I was donating my parts, and asked myself " Do my parts really go to Grandma?"
I wanted to test this out by going to grandma's and waiting for my parts,
but then I thought maybe they come in later, what if they already went out,
I can wait all day? No.
I wanted to see what other Whyvillians think there parts go, so I set out.
Sugarz: Hi, may I interview you for the Whyville
Times?
M0nk3yman: Yes.
Sugarz: Do you believe that the parts which you donate to Grandma, actually go
there?
Or do you think that by donating them they are getting deleted instead?
M0nk3yman: Well, before I believed they were going there, but with this bandwitdh problem,
I think they are being deleted now.
Sugarz: Thank you for your time.
M0nk3yman: That's it? Ok, bye.
Sugarz: Can I interview you for the Whyville Times?
VeRgE: Yes.
Sugarz: Do you believe that the parts which you donate to Grandma, actually go
there?
Or do you think that by donating them they are getting deleted instead.
VeRgE: No, I believe they are being deleted
Sugarz: Why do you think this?
VeRge: Because I donate stuff and then for a test I go to Grandma's,
but I don't get anything.
Sugarz: But what if it takes one day for our stuff to get to Grandma?,
or maybe someone else got it?
VeRgE: Dunno, I think Grandma only gives out at certain times.
Sugarz: Alright, thank you for your time:)
VeRgE: K.
City Hall, here is my question: Do my parts really go to Grandma? Or am I just deleting them due to this bandwidth problem?
I'll still be donating even if they are being deleted, because I also need the
space! :-P
This is Sugarz... leaving.
Editor's Note: City Hall insists categorically that
donated parts always go to Grandma's, and the problem is actually
database-based, not bandwidth. She says that when you donate, it takes time for
your parts to be processed over to Grandma's... not to mention, with the
hundreds of new citizens who arrive each day, all new parts are snatched up
almost instantly. Donating does not exactly keep up with the number of new
citizens!
Now, City Hall has never lied to me before, but there's
always a first time. Unfortunately, Grandma doesn't seem to understand my
question -- "Have some more cookies, dear," she says, "And don't touch the
azaleas!" So, I'm stuck with what City Hall has told me. How can we
investigate??
