I've been at Whyville for a pretty long time now and I think that all your new
rules and ideas are ruining Whyville.
I know that Akbar is getting full of parts but with all the money that you get
from us for Why-Passes they can afford to hire another Akbar! All the new stuff
I
make and buy will disappear and I won't be able to buy it again because it would
have disappeared from the stores! I used to like Whyville! Don't ruin it for us!
I also think that when Akbar doesn't accept our stuff he should give them
back to us exactly the same as when we sent them instead of rejecting them or
giving us a refund. That way we can fix them however we need to. And with all of the money you take from us
for Why-Passes, you can afford to hire some more Akbars so they can accept our stuff
faster!
Editor's Note: Do you know how much money Whyville
really gets from Why-Passes? The fact is, Why-Passes aren't a significant income
for Whyville. Running Whyville's computers costs at least $1000 every month. Hiring another Akbar would probably cost at least that much, too. Why-Passes don't come close to covering that, sadly.
Anyone who writes to the Times is a journalist, in some way. We all need to make sure that what we write about can be checked on by our readers, otherwise we probably haven't written something very effective. Everyone has to be careful about this, from the newest author to the most experienced chief editor of the top newspapers in the world. Thanks for writing to let us know how you feel, unknown author; I hope that now that you have a better understanding of what Whyville really *can* afford, you understand why we have to do some of the things we do.
Keep writing!
