As I was reading the Times last week, I came across the Editor's "What's New This
Week". When I read this article, I learned about the proposed magazine, The Whyvillian. When I read more and more about this new magazine, something became
more and more apparent. The Whyvillian reminded me of the Times.
"It would include special articles for newbies and tips for being successful in
Whyville (yes, including how to earn more clams!!!)." Hmm... there are articles
in the Times about helping newbies and earning clams Okay, so The Whyvillian may
be just an idea right now that sounds oddly similar to the Times but we can, of
course, change it. In fact, I have some ideas to improve The Whyvillian.
First of all, I think the title is great. In "The Whyvillian," I think articles and
tips from Whyvillians and City Workers would be great, but there should be some
different content to make it truly unique. Lets suppose that this new magazine
is going to be monthly: so, every month it would be great if there was a Q&A or
an FAQ. Whyvillians would e-mail questions to Whyville workers, and they would
be answered in the magazine. Also, wouldn't comics be great? We could create comics
about everyday life in Whyville. A monthly calendar of events in Whyville would
give us all a heads-up.
So what do you think, fellow Whyvillians? Is The Whyvillian a no-go or a great
idea? And you know what the best part is? If you aren't satisfied with a certain
part of this new magazine, you can change it. Hey, this is Whyville, after all.
