This is rlh27, and I would like to offer my opinion of people "cheating" in the Solstice Safari by spamming other team's BBSes.  Many people feel that only the "spammer" should be punished.  They feel this way because the rest of the team wasn't spamming the BBS.  Some also argue that they were not aware that one of the teamates was cheating.  I do not agree that only the "culprit" should be punished; I believe that the whole team should be punished. Here's why:

During a volleyball game, if somebody hits the ball twice in a row, does only that person suffer? No, the entire team loses the ball.  No volleyball team would say, "But she was the only one that hit the ball twice, so only she should be punished."  What makes the Solstice Safari any different?

In a football game, if the quarterback performs an illegal move, does only the quarterback receive a penalty? No. Even if the rest of the team had no idea that the quarterback did something against the rules, everyone is penalized. No football player would argue with the referee by saying, "Why should all of us be punished? We didn't know that the quarterback was doing something wrong."

The point is, real life teams don't penalize one person for a wrongdoing -- the other teammates suffer too.  But who knows?  Maybe I'd feel differently if it were someone on my team doing the spamming.
