If you're concerned with the state of affairs in our town, then you're sure to have
visited the Poll Booth at City Hall.
The Poll Booth first opened its doors on July 21, and since then has seen more than
300 petitions and 7000 signatures! This may sound like a lot, but most
petitions actually did not manage to get enough signatures to become a poll.
A selected few that Whyvillians truly feel are important did graduate from petition to
poll, and the results for this very first round of Whyville polls are about to be released!
The Whyville Times is proud to announce that, starting with our next issue, we will be
carrying exclusive Whyville Poll Results right here in our paper. And which poll will
grab the headline? The poll with the most votes, of course.
So, in preparation for a historic Whyville event, the publication of our first poll
results, do your job as a citizen! Go through the polls and caste your votes.
If there's a poll up there on a issue that is close to your heart, be sure you
get your friend, your neighbor, and every newbie you meet to vote on it too!
If you don't, this one poll that could change your life just might not get
enough votes to make it onto the Times and into the attention of City Hall.
It'll just gather dust and be forgotten like so much old newspaper in a dark and
dank backroom closet.
Stay tuned to the Times,
The Editor
