Hi. This
is World67's article and I am responding to 22kool4u's article "Acne". She said that you can prevent pimples by washing your face with soap,
but actually soap does not prevent pimples. It, as the editor said, can make it worse.
Soap can leave a pore clogging residue and as you get
older, your skin won't look as good as if you took care of it properly. So I hope I can tell you a different way
of cleaning your face than soap. There are three easy
steps to getting great skin, along with some other advice I will give you.
1. Cleanse your
skin -- you should get the right cleanser, according to your skin type
2. Tone -- this
helps clean the dirt and pore clogging things that your cleanser may
have missed, but this isn't a must to use
3. Moisturize --
this prevents your skin from being dry and can even out your skin.
How to tell what
your skin type is:
Oily skin: By
the end of the day, you are oily in the t-zone (forehead, nose, and
chin) and your cheeks can be dry. You would need oil-free lotion and
cleanser and it would be better to have lotion and a cleanser that is
non-comedogenic, so it won't clog pores, and non-acnegenic.
Dry skin: You
tend to get flakey skin and it can sometimes get irritated easily. You
would need products that have oil in them, but you can also use
oil-free. There are certain cleansers for dry skin that you can use.
Sensitive skin:
Your skin can get irritated easily and can be dry or oily. There are special
cleansers and moisturizers that a person can use. It would be best to
wear a lotion with an SPF of at least 15.
Normal skin:
Your skin is usually the same in all parts of the face, but can be oilier in
the t-zone and dryer in the cheeks. Can use all skin products available.
I hope that this
helped. Remember, you will still get zits because it just happens, so make
sure you don't pick them and cause scars and blemishes! Thanks for
reading my article, and see ya later!
