On a regular Whyville day, I entered the beach to find the usual number of citizens "hanging out". To my surprise I noticed TONS of new people floating around amidst the crowd. They were hard to miss with their bald heads and the huge "I'm New To Whyville" face. When I clicked on one particular person to check out their city records, I was not shocked to see "Whyville Salary: 0 Clams".

I remember being new. I would enter a room and just say "Hi" and be bombarded with responses like "Shut up Noob" or "Eww an ugly noobie!" But there was nothing I could do about being "ugly". I had not raised a salary yet, because I did not fully understand ANY of the games! I was completely and utterly confused! The only clothes I could afford were the ones from dear old Grandma. Although I was very thankful for the donated clothes, they weren't good enough for being popular amongst the crowed. Putting on the "Robert Plant" blonde hair, "bee stung" lips, and "Girly Eyes", I was treated even more horribly as I sat ever so still at the Pool Party.

"Haha Your Soooo Ugly!" said a girl with the *perfect* Whyville face. "Go back where you came from," said another. I was terribly upset. I had been so excited to join Whyville, and thought of it as a wonderful town!

Bringing myself back to today, I realized that these new people were probably going through the same experience I had. I started brainstorming all the things I could do to help them when the winning idea came to me. I quickly registered a new account??? "G0odWiLL". Raising my salary I soon had around 30 clams. Clicking in to Akbar's, I bought TONS of items -- hair, eyes, lips, noses and clothing -- and began my search for my first customer.

I quickly found someone. Checking her city records, I learned this was only her 2nd day, and she earned a total of 1 clam a day. Adding her to my friend's list, I bustled into my ledger, heading straight for face parts. I sent her some nice red hair, eyes, lips and a shirt, then ymailed her. My Ymail read: "Enjoy Your donated clothing! Remember to donate unwanted clothing/clams when you become a well off citizen. Your donated clothing/clams will be used to help new citizens of why enjoy Whyville more! Thank you! Signed, G0odWiLL".

Helping someone had never felt so good! I had just achieved a small act of charity, and helped someone on Whyville have a better day! Later that day, I received a ymail from the recipient: She thanked me for the clothing, and said, "That's one of the nicest things someone's done for me on Whyville!" I was overjoyed!

I am still assisting people today, and still loving it! I feel like I have a purpose in Whyville, and really enjoy seeing the people I helped be happy. My "Operation" has grown, including another person, "Go0dWiLL2". If you would like to lend a helping hand and join goodwill, y-mail me or my colleague at G0odWiLL or Go0DwiLL2. We are always looking for helpers! Or if you would like to donate unwanted clothing/clams, send them to either of our accounts! We assure you that anything donated WILL be given to the people of Whyville! Thank you!
