I finally got a response from Whyville today! It's my first day as a Y-mail
helper! (Yay!!) Once I got over the shock of seeing that long-awaited e-mail
from City Hall, I got
to thinking -- how do you find out who's a Y-mail helper, without looking up
millions of City Records?
I remembered that when I first joined Whyville, over two years ago (yup! I'm an
01'er, but I'm on a different account now), you could find a link that showed a
long list of Y-mail helpers' usernames. The link was in the help section of your Y-mail thinger
majigger (er... I think all of the mixed sugar, caffeine and aspertane I've had may have
addled my vocabulary a bit). I went to check, but no such link was anywhere to
be found!
Now I know there must be an obvious way that my simple little mind simply cannot
register, because I have several friends who are Y-mail helpers, and they get
tons of Y-mails a day asking for help. So why can't I find it? I asked one of my
friends if she knew anything about it, but since she didn't know I was planning
to submit our conversation, the Times Editor can't publish what she said.
Basically, she didn't know where to find the Helpers, either.
If anyone knows anything more about this than me and Ollie123, please tell me,
so I can put my simple mind to rest! =D
