Chihuahuas!

Yay! Yet another one of my animal articles. This one is about Chihuahuas (pronounced chi-waa-waas). I chose to write about them because I have two of my own Chihuahuas. They are sooo cute!

There are two types of Chihuahuas: long coat and smooth coat. With smooth coat Chihuahuas, the coat should be a smooth texture, close and glossy. In the long coats, the hair should also have a soft texture, either curly or flat.

The modern Chihuahua is very different from his early ancestors, with his variegated colors ranging from snow white to jet black. Owners in Mexico favor the jet black with tan markings, and the black and white spotted. Owners in the United States generally prefer the solid colors.

With the Chihuahua being so small (the smallest breed of dog in the world!), it's a good pet for people living in city apartments.

Chihuahuas must live inside homes. They should not live outside.

They are also good travelers and will go anywhere with their owners. You just gotta be careful not to step on them. =oP
