I know that reading has to be the best thing since, well... friendship, but what is there to read? I personally go for sci-fi or fantasies, but I also like other types of books too. Here are a few of my favorites and a short plot summary for each:

Sabriel by Garth Nix.  This fantasy story is about a girl who must become the Abhoresen after her father's disappearance into death. An Abhorsen is a necromancer who, instead of raising the dead, puts them to sleep. If you like this book, read the sequels Lireal and Abhoresen.

Go Ask Alice, Anonymous.  This book is about a druggie in the 1960's. When I first got it I thought it would be awful since it was short and written as a diary, but this book chilled me. It really shows the horror of drugs.

The Pack, Elisa Carbone.  When Akhil moves to town, everyone finds him strange and frightening. Why is he so scared and why does he refuse to sit in a chair? When Omar and Becky befriend him, they find out his strange and entrancing secret.

Blood and Chocolate, Annette Curtis Klause.  When Vivean, a teenage werewolf, falls in love with a "Meat-boy", her pack isn't happy; especially The Five.

Dracula, by Bram Stoker.  This classic vampire tale is a story of horror, love, and intrigue. Numerous movies and even a ballet have been based on this book. This is definitely a good book.
