As Jacques Ellul once said, "The fact of knowing how to read is nothing, the whole point is knowing what to read."

Hey, yo, hi.  I am a book fanatic. Therefore, I decided to share some of my favorite books! I know that there are quite a few people doing this, but hey, the more you read... well, anyway... enjoy!!!

Point Blank by Anthony Horowitz

One man trying to take over the world versus one boy trying to stop him. Fourteen-year-old secret agent Alex Rider is sent to a boarding school to investigate mysterious happenings. But this isn't just your ordinary boarding school, with sixteen children of some of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the world. Juvenile delinquents, all of them: drugs, shoplifting, vandalism. And yet suddenly they're perfect, well-behaved and good mannered. Identical in every way -- or almost every way. Something is wrong. Very wrong.

This is the second book in the thrilling series by Anthony Horowitz. The first one, Stormbreaker, should be read first if you want a clearer picture and understanding. The next book in the series is called Skeleton Key, and is not yet in print, at least not where I live! You should definitely check these books out!

Ever heard of Phillip Pullman? He's  the author to the trilogy His Dark Materials, which includes the books The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass, he has also collected a book of classic mysteries together called Detective Stories.

Gordon Korman. Although most of his books are for younger readers, he writes some goods ones for young adults as well. Some of my favorites are: No More Dead Dogs, The Toilet Paper Tigers, the Bruno and Boots series, and Son of the Mob.

Anything by Agatha Christie is good for a late night read. Don't start too late, however,. Or you may be up half the night finishing in. Some of my favorites are The ABC Murders, The Tuesday Club Murders, Thirteen at Dinner, Murder in Three Acts, And Then There Were None, and many more!!

Have fun!!

And now, I'm off to devour another good book... perhaps I'll read, hm... well, you never know....

Good night and good reading,
Crazzieme

Editor's Note: The Times staff hasn't read any of these books, so we can't guarantee they're age-appropriate.  Make sure you check with your parents.  We have heard extremely good things about Pullman's trilogy, though. :-)
