Whyvillians, I wrote a poem I thought I'd share with you. Hope you like it!

The eagle flies overhead,
Watching, protecting.

He tells things
And gives knowledge,
Important things to be known.

Of people, friends, and
Common sense he tells.
Of good hunting and gathering too.

To his namesake
This knowledge goes.

Of quests of a sort
And dreams of the past,
This namesake receives.

The eagle protects
Through sickness and danger,
And most times succeeds.

In keeping his namesake alive
Throughout the wars and raids.
And also through the illnesses
That ravage and roll,
Through the village like
waves in the ocean.

He also sends down
Gifts of a sort
From the skies
In which he resides.

To show that he's
Watching and
Still at attention
To all things being done.

And sometimes just
To let you know he's
There.

If you haven't
Figured it out
Just quite yet,
And do not know
Who he is,
Know now that he is
A spirit guide.

There to help,
There to protect,
There to inform,

His namesake
For all
His life
To come.
