Ah... All Hallow's Eve is upon us once again. Good ol' Hallowe'en. Being bored once again, I was recently searching the web for some costume ideas, and found some great ones I thought I'd share with all of you!

GHOST - You'd think that a ghost would like to dress up a bit to go out in public, wouldn't you? Use a plain white sheet, and cut a small slit for the mouth, two holes for the eyes. Girls, add some dressy stuff -- eye shadow and eyelashes (maybe even 'falsies') around the eyes, bright red lipstick around the mouth, maybe a fake pearl necklace and some earrings attached to sheet. If you're really creative, use a big, old fashioned purse as a treat bag. Boys, just get classy. A top hat would be really cool (even punch out the top? After all, you *are* old and dead). If you can get your hands on one, try to wear a monocle!

OLD MAN - Wear oversized pants with a big belt, and a dress shirt tucked in. Get a walking cane, dust some white powder in your hair, and practice that hunched-over walk!

OLD WOMAN - An old style dress (from a thrifty store, like Dots or Off-Broadway), just below the knee. Try some knee-high's that are a little to big so they fall down a little. Get a big black purse, some old-fashioned shoes, a curly white wig, and you're set!

50's GIRL - I dressed up like one last Halloween, it was really cute! Wear a button-up white blouse tucked into a big, round black skirt (like a poodle skirt). If you want to be a "Pink Lady" from the movie Grease, just add a pink wind-breaker jacket. If you have long hair, put it back in a predictably plain ponytail. If you have short hair, comb it straight back so it's nice and puffy, and put it in a colorful plastic headband. Now, for the piece de resistance -- the chiffon scarf, tied around your neck. It adds the finishing touch.

MOTHER NATURE - Decorate and old vest and skirt (forest green works very well) with silk leaves (from a craft store), in no particular pattern. Also decorate the skirt with real or fake flowers, "growing" out of the leaves. Gather some twigs together, and secure them together with a wire to look like a nest and glue them to some part of your costume (I think the shoulder would be cool).

Hope you liked my costume ideas! For more, check out http://www.robinsfyi.com/holidays/halloween/costumes.htm. (Editor's Note: I tried checking that page, but it seemed to be having connection troubles...)

Kirbie393, over and out.
((Oh Hallowe'en tree, oh Hallowe'en tree, how lovely are thy candy...!))
