Every living thing has at least one cell. A cell is a microscopic organism. A cell is made up of many different parts. One of the most important parts is the nucleus. The nucleus is an organelle and in the nucleus is the DNA responsible for providing the unique characteristics. Another important part of the plant cell is the mitochondria. The mitochondria is basically the powerhouse of the cell. It provides the energy a cell needs to move and divide. Another crucial part of a cell is the cell membrane. EVERY cell is enclosed in a membrane. The membrane is a double layer of fats but the proteins are important to the cell activities. Plant cells all have a cell wall. This is the difference between plant cells and animal cells, having a cell wall.
