It was a dark night, and the explorers were
tired. No one wanted to move another step but they knew they had to.
Their town depended on them. They must find the new land, the land for a
new town.It started to rain.
"We must stop, if we keep going we
won't make it," City Hall yelled through the rain.
"She's right. We
can't keep going. Look how tired the kids are," one of the mothers said.
The General stopped and turned around. "I told you they shouldn't have
come. I knew that they couldn't, that they wouldn't make it," General
yelled.
"Sir, the kids aren't the only tired ones. We are stopping
--
you keep going if you must," Army1 said.
"I can't go on my own, I'll die.
You guys have to come," General replied.
"We won't. I'm not moving,"
the youngest kid, Tiny, yelled. And so they stopped to rest.
By morning, the
sun was barely shining. "GET UP NOW!!" Genral005 yelled. Everyone
got up slowly.
"What's up, genral005?" General said.
"Someone is
coming. Move come, move," Genral005 yelled. They ran a little ways
until they thought they were far enough.
Back at home, everyone was worried.
"Where are they?" the mothers asked.
"We are going after them," stated
the
Times Editor.
"If one goes, we all go," Mother599 replied. "Then
let's get a move on."
They walked nonstop, running, jogging, and as little
walking as possible. After 7 days, they stopped. On the 8th day they
ran.
Every night, the first group stopped to
rest. They walked, never ran. They set up a camp for a day, so they
could rest and catch more food.
After a few more days, they started seeing
footprints. "People are close!" Child5 yelled. They ran
and ran till they saw the camp of the first group. They had no clue whose camp
this was. They saw few people there.
"They must be hunting,"
Warrior1 whispered. Everyone at camp left for a few minutes. The
group looked around.
"City Hall's shirt! Genral's Pants!" Times Editor
yelled. "This is their camp!!"
When everyone returned, the 2nd group was
there. Everyone hugged and said their hellos. The group started off
in search for a town. Five hours later, they reached somewhere.
"WE
claim this land and Name it..." City Hall started.
"WAIT!!" SmallKid
yelled. "We all get to name it." They decided to name it Whyville.
"This is our land named Whyville." City Hall and Times Editor stated.
At that time, new people walked down the street toward them. "Off
our land" they screeched.
"We claimed it!" City Hall replied.
"This
is Whatville!" they screeched. Then they ran back to their homes on the
other side of town. "Attack!!" Whyvillians yelled at the same time as
the Whatvillians yelled "War!!" A war broke out. People left and people died.
People sacrificed themselves.
In the end there was enough people to create
2 towns, half Whyville and half Whatville.
Now Whatville and Whyville are good
neighbors!
