Y-mail Helpers Fight Back

Hey everyone, it's sugarz. Catchy title, huh? Recently, many people have been Y-mailing me to complain and complain and complain! No, I don't mean for you to feel I'm whining -- I chose to be a y-mail helper -- but I need to clear some things up for everyone. Y-mail helpers try to help everyone as soon as they can. Here are some tips for you to think about before you mail a y-mail helper... :)

1. Do not beg for clams, please. We tend to ignore mail like that we would rather have you ask for salary tips so that you can earn your own clams and enjoy Whyville, and not depend on others.

2. Do not mail us and threaten us. I get that a lot, people threaten to "tell on me" for not replying to them right away when they send their mail. We try our best to answer all the mail we get, just give us some time please.

3. Another topic I get mailed about a lot is "Why did you take my clams?" When people get fined, they think the y-mail helpers took their clams. :-) We didn't take your clams -- City Hall decides that stuff.

4. We DO reply sooner to mail with people speaking appropriately to us, not whining. For my mail, I choose the people who aren't whining to me, although I still do reply to them!

5. If you show respect you will get respect.

6. We do not appreciate it when you "spam" us with the same mail repeatedly. In some cases, we understand glitches may occur, but we can tell. ;)

7. Even though we do tend to give clams sometimes, don't take advantage of us. Be happy with what you got.

8. Remember that we all have our bad days. We try not to reply to your mail on those days, so please give us time.

I think that about wraps it up. I am NOT complaining I'm just clearing up a few topics, that's how you do get replied to quicker respect. I always go through my mail and see the people who use appropriate language and don't demand. I chose to be a y-mail helper and I will continue, and I am not complaining so I don't want to see anyone BBS posts telling me to quit because I'm whining, because I don't mean to come across that way. :-)
