Hey, ZookyQ here!

I was checking out the Guinness World Records website and decided to share some interesting Christmas records with everyone at Whyville.

Tallest Snowman
The people of Bethel, in Maine, and some other nearby towns constructed the 113 ft. tall snowman they call Angus. It was completed February 17,1999. His eyes were 4 wreaths, his mouth made of 6 car tires, and his nose about 6 ft. of chicken wire and muslin. His arms were 10 ft. trees. Some of the people who helped to build Angus wanted to give him a "corncob pipe" but the local chamber of commerce said no, because they didn't want to promote smoking,

Tallest Christmas Tree (live tree)
The Douglas fir tree was 221 ft. tall. It was set up and decorated at Northgate Shopping Center in Seattle, Washington in December 1950. It was badly damaged by winds that blew in Seattle after it was erected but, when it was all lit up, it was still amazing enough to make the cover of Life magazine.

Largest Artificial Christmas Tree
Measuring about 170 ft., it was as tall as a 20-story building. It required a lightning rod and flashing lights to warn off passing aircraft. It weighed more than 80 tons and was adorned in 3,000 baubles and 200 lamps. Porto Alegre, Brazil, was its home. It was designed by Grupo Sonae Distribuicao Brasil and was called the "Peace Tree." On its tip sat a 10 ft. tall dove. It was displayed the entire month of December and into January.

I'm ZookyQ, saying, I gotta go do my homework!
