What's New This Week

From the beginning, the new regulations at Akbar's Face Factory were controversial. Connecting the selling price of each part to the maker's salary seemed to be a completely random rule. I know I questioned it! People were worried that the limits on prices would make it impossible to make any kind of profit from their art.

In a recent BBS posting, City Hall explained the reasons for the regulations. She also explained that salaries would be increasing in a few weeks, so that prices wouldn't be quite so stifled.

Well, the news today is that the promised salary raise is here! We now earn clams for how many dances we make and how many awards we win at the spin game each week, and for each level of the Treasure Hunt we've completed!

Not all the news is good, however. The BBS no longer contributes to our salaries, because so many people were posting nonsense messages in order to get more clams. Yet another case of some bad apples spoiling it for the rest of us!

But don't let that get you down -- even without the BBS salary, if you maximize everything else, you can be earning 81 clams a day! That's 567 clams a week!!!

And don't forget, you can now spend some of those clams making advertisements to go in the Times! You can see those ads that were made last week above each article this week. Just hit reload to cycle through every ad we have so far!

Stay tuned to the Times,

The Editor
