Not to toot my own horn, but I think I know a lot about the games in Whyville.
All you have to do is look at the categories below and decide which game
you want to try out. Ok?
If you're a newbie:
Definitely go to the House of Illusions. If you go to all 8 rooms, you get 8
clams added to your salary, plus the rooms are awesome! I always love going
through and seeing the two faces of the room "About Face."
If you're into competition:
Go to the Smart Cars tracks! Go right now (after you finish this article, of
course)! You can get up to 5 clams added to your salary by doing all the tracks,
including the sometimes-dreaded Gasoline Alley. If I can do it, so can you! Plus,
doing all 5 tracks before you get into the competition helps you a LOT when you want
to design a configuration. This is where the competition comes in. You challenge
other Whyvillians to a race on your choice of the track and the
time, and the game is on!
If you like science:
Definitely try the WASA Rocket Levels! It doesn't take a Branius Maximus to
master this game, but it does present future scientists with a challenge to
dwell on. I can just sit in front of my computer and figure these out all day!
Even if science isn't your favorite subject, you do get clams for this, so give
science a chance. Plus, this kind of science doesn't give you homework.
Masters of Whyville only (got clams?):
Go to the Zero Gravity Levels! You get to bounce footballs (or other, cheaper
projectiles) off a wall as hard as
you can to try and get to a blinking light on the other side of the arena in a
set amount of time. Who doesn't want that? Hint: Go to the Projectile Shoppe in
your pull-down menu on the bus to buy projectiles. Again, you must have clams to
play this game!
Take your time:
Geodig Safari, Treasure Hunt Safari, Solstice Safari -- I haven't done any of these
for a reason: They take too long! When I need clams, I usually need them soon,
thanks.
Alien Rescue Mission -- A great game, but you have to be patient while figuring
out what city the alien is in.
Sun Spot Puzzle -- Awesome game! I tried it out, and I found some interesting
information. I did Beijing, China, and found out that they had less than 11
hours of sunlight on October 31st. (I'm thinking of doing Alaska, too.)
Skater Game -- I haven't even mastered this, so if you're able to get past the 0 on
your salary ledger, let me know!
Spin Game -- Very fun on the first level, but I haven't got past there. Again, let
me know if you learn the trick!
I hope this has helped you with your game problems.
This is Allyral -- over and out!
