Hey, it's Xanaphia here, and I'm here to discuss something I feel is wrong in Whyville. Relax, I'm not going to lecture all of you people about being nice or actually learning some proper grammar, this is intended for City Hall, instead. I'm here to talk about the newbie chat limitations.

We all know that newbies have to wait for five days to chat, it's so we can learn to use the tools we need to survive properly in Whyville. It all seems like a good plan on paper.

Not if you're the newbie, though.

The problem here is that everything you can learn without chatting with others can be learned in less than an hour (that's how long it took me, and that was before they had easy-access tutorials). So, once you got the tools all saved into your mental hard drives, you still have five days of complete boredom ahead of you. The impatient won't even give Whyville a second thought with this rule set up.

It's just one of the many things newbies have to deal with.

Not only that, but what if a veteran user (like me) just wants to have a new account, or start with a different name? We already know the rules. We already know how to use everything. The five-day wait is completely useless in every aspect. I've tried notifying City Hall about this, but nobody's allowed to Y-mail City Hall. Don't even ask about the petition board; the only petitions that reach the polls are ones that promise clams. It's completely unfair to the newbies.

Until next time, this is Xanaphia.
