I've just started becoming a vegetarian about 2 weeks ago, and though it's easy to avoid meats such as beef, pork and fish, it's been quite difficult to resist CHICKEN. Anyways, I was reading 8Dyay8D's article, and I'm guessing that she believes that eating meat is wrong. Well, telling people that it's wrong and giving them all these reasons just doesn't cut it for the carnivores in the world.

I remember this vegetarian that was my friend telling me a couple of months ago how it was disgusting that I ate pepperoni. I didn't mind that she told me that, but they way she was ranting on about how we should think of other animals as living creatures with lives, too, bothered me. I was like, "Yeah, I do care." But she kept yelling about how if I truly did, then I would stop eating meat. Well, she was no longer my friend after that (there were other issues between us, too).

I'm telling this story because I realize that some people feel they just can't survive without meat, and I wish to tell everyone who's a carnivore that some vegetarians are NOT going to yell at you simply because you eat meat. Some vegetarians, like I, just don't want to eat meat, while some other people stop eating animal products to cut down on fat and cholesterol.

I'm not too sure about all this about scientists and things, but we should all be able to make our own choices without being brainwashed that eating meat is bad. Carnivores, too, you should respect vegetarians, as we do you.

So make your own choice, and think about why you eat what you eat.
