"The Amazing White Chimp" (Animal Planet Channel, 5-6 p.m. E/P)
The Tacugama Sanctuary rescues Chimpanzee from human
encroachment in this area of Africa. The new star at Tacugama is Pinky, a
two-year old albino chimp with one blue eye. Her problem is not people, but other
chimps. Will the other chimps accept Pinky in spite of her distinctive look?

of Southampton Island in the northern Hudson Bay of Canada, this survival story
has played out for centuries. Noah Kadlak, of Inuit ancestry, knows how to live
in the arctic environment and survive. In this documentary, Noah learns the survival
skills of his ancestors during a brutal coming-of-age journey over a brutal
Arctic landscape
Monday, December 22
"One Christmas" (Hallmark Channel, 8-10 p.m. E/P) This is a movie based on an
inspirational story by distinguished American author Truman Capote. It's about
an eight-year-old boy who journeys to Louisiana to visit his estranged father,
an alcoholic con man. Both father and son awkwardly try to make steps towards
establishing some kind of meaningful relationship. Henry Winkler stars.
Tuesday, December 23
"Get the Fire! Young Mormon Missionaries Abroad" (PBS, 10-11 p.m. E/P)
At age 19, young
Mormon men are expected to put their daily lives on hold and devote two years to
spreading their faith throughout the world. They go in pairs to live in
different towns and countries, with one task: to talk about God to everyone they
meet. This program follows three young missionaries from the time they receive
their mission calls until they finish their 22-month missions in Germany.

"Biography: Santa Claus" (A&E Cable Network, 8-9 p.m. E/P)
This program in
the "Biography" series of documentaries examines the religious aspects of St.
Nicholas -- icons, art, lore. Then it describes how and when the story of Saint
Nicholas evolved into Santa Claus as myth and character. For example, the
magical 1947 film Miracle on 34th Street continues to captivate us even today.
In the modern era, Santa is re-created again and again by big name entertainers
in the movies and in the recording industry.

"Who Was Moses" (Discovery Channel, 10-11 a.m. E/P, repeating 5-6 p.m. E/P)
This history documentary about a major figure in Judeo-Christian culture raises challenging questions. Experts have examined the stables of Pharaoh Ramses II, ancient Egyptian texts and everything in between to get the real
story behind Moses and whether he even existed. Could the Ten Commandments be
based on ancient Hittite texts?
"Ben Hur" (Turner Classic Movie Channel, 1-5 p.m. ET, 10 am-2 p.m. PT) This
multiple-Oscar winning movie is based on General Lew Wallace's beloved novel
"Ben Hur A Story Of the Christ." It's about the powerful effect that meeting
Jesus had on both Israelites and Romans. Charlton Heston stars. Available on
video and DVD in most countries.
"U.K Space Probe Mars Landing" (web-coverage all day at http://www.beagle2.com/index.htm)
An unusual media event today will be coverage of the United Kingdom's mission to
Mars. The Beagle 2 space probe, due to land on Mars on Christmas Day, is a
benchmark for the UK's space ambitions. The UK's goal is the development new
