Editor's Note: Our apologies for not publishing this sooner, folks!
Hey all! You'll never guess who this is! I'm here today to tell everyone
about a historic event in Whyville, which I was fortunate enough to take part
in in a big way! On Monday, November 3rd, at 9:00 pm Whyville Time, the first
ever Senator meeting took place in the Greek Theatre.
As Senator, this was my first chance to get together with City Workers, namely
City Hall and Superid, and express some of my plans as Senator. Well, some of my
hoped-for plans, anyways. The Theater was packed, as anyone who attended will
tell you.
The first topic of the evening was by far the most controversial -- Akbar's. As
you may have noticed, Akbar has been having some troubles lately. It has become
a matter of finding a solution that frees up server space, but doesn't prohibit
people from making parts. Many different ideas were proposed at the meeting;
from licenses, to strict hours, and limits of the amount of parts a person can
wear or own.
Second on the agenda were clam showers. The plan seems to be clam showers at the
end of November (American Thanksgiving) or during winter break. For those of you
who have never witnessed a clam shower, its when you have to find the right city
using the Warp Wagon and if you're right, you'll see literally thousands of
clams fall from the sky (and if you catch those clams, you get to keep them!).
This time around, there's a slight catch, however. In order to find the right
city, you'll have to figure out the clue! I hope you're all excited, because I
know I sure am!
Finally, Club Why incentives were also briefly discussed. It has become apparent
that many people would like, and deserve more, for being members of Club Why. My
suggestion was that chats should be held, perhaps on a regular basis, with City
Workers for questions and suggestions. Of course, it would have to take place in
the secret club why room so that only members could partake in the event!
The meeting ended after that, but I still need and want input! If you have any
comments on anything you read here, please send me a letter, letting me know! I
can't guarantee I will reply, but I will certainly read what you have to say,
and take it in to consideration. Do you have a suggestion for Akbar? Would you
be willing to donate some of your face parts if you got recognition for it? Got
a great idea for Club Why, or do you just want to say how excited you are to see
a Clam Shower? Any of these things are great, but I'd also love to hear from you
if you have a suggestion for what to discuss at next month's Senator meeting!
I
have a feeling I'll be getting some mail now, so I guess I'm done!
Giggler01.
Long distance cheer.
