This is horse237 signing on!!
One of the greatest scientists of all time was Albert Einstein. Born in Ulm,
Germany, Albert actually had trouble with school!!! In the school where he went
to in his early years, no one in the class was allowed to ask questions. Can you believe that?
Today, Albert has passed away but his many great theories remain. Here is my
perspective of one
of them.
You are in your car with your parents, on the way to a dinner party. A car in the
other lane on the highway passes your car very slowly. Have you ever thought
about how fast that car is really going?
You got stuck at school and missed your bus. You're standing on the side of the
road, trying to get a ride. A car whizzes past you so quickly, you'll miss it if
you just blink.
The Theory of Relativity is the observation of moving objects in different
situations. When you're in your car, another moving car seems to be going very slowly
because both of your cars are going about the same speed. But when you're standing
on the side of the road, a car seems to fly by you!!
Knowledge is power!!!

Editor's Note: Why does it work that way? What happens when
you go super fast, like close to the speed of light? *Can* you go at the
speed of light? I wonder...
