This is a poem I wrote called Morpheus, named after the god or deity of sleep
and transformation.?? It is quite similar to this poem. Enjoy!
I am everything yet I am nothing
Bold and meek
Strong and weak
Loner and a socialite
Black, grey and white
I've been everywhere yet never left home
I am tied to the land yet always roam
Barbarian and civilized
Polite and rude
Gentleman and a womanizer-dude
Wealthy poor
Had it all yet still need to possess more
I am the rebel and the nationalist loyal lap dog that guards the gold door
I am the hero and the villain all rolled into one
I am the man with the gun and the pacifist with none
I create anarchy and I build governments
I live in grand palaces and animal skin tents
I know that I know not thus I have seen it all fall
I am the thing you'd least expect to be somewhere or nowhere at all
I am the fighter the lover
The hater and the brother
I am contradictory yet true
Why does this all seem so I and you?
I am invincible yet easily killed
I live for blood of men and all to be spilled
I live for peace and cups of merriness to be filled
Directed and misguided
Backstabber and confided
I am as such but it has ceased to mean much
I am everything yet I am nothing at all
