Hey guys, this is hottiemb with an article for you on how to become a Y-Mail
Helper and some reasons why you can't be a City Worker.
Lately, Whyville citizens have been wondering about how to become a Y-Mail
Helper or a City Worker. If you are one of those who are interested, here's how!
If you want to become a Y-Mail Helper, first you must have been a good citizen
for at least three months. If you are a newcomer to Whyville and have only been
on for two months, you can't be a Y-Mail Helper just yet. Patience is a virtue!
The second thing you must do to become a Helper is have a salary of at least
sixty clams.
If you have already accomplished these two things, you must send an e-mail
(not a y-mail) to city-management@whyville.net. In the e-mail, tell City
Management that you are interested in becoming a Y-Mail Helper. Don't forget to
include your screen name, too!
After you have done this, you should get an e-mail back after a little while. In
the e-mail, it will tell you that you have to take a written test. What is the
written test, you might ask??? You must simply write at least five questions
and answers that a citizen might ask you if you were a Y-Mail Helper. The Qs and
As don't only have to be about y-mailing -- they can range from queries about
the 911 Report tool to raising your salary to creating your face. Also, if you
really want to impress City Management, you can write more than five Qs
and As! But don't forget to e-mail all this to city-management@whyville.net!
Now, some of you might want to know how to become a City Worker. Sorry, but
citizens like you and me can't be City Workers. City Workers are adults
that work for Whyville. Patrolling Whyville, programming Whyville, advertising
Whyville -- these things are their jobs. It isn't just their Whyville job,
either, it's their real life job, too. They get paid real money for doing
this.
So, if you really want to help out, consider being a Y-Mail Helper, and thank
the City Workers for their good work!
I hope this has answered all of your questions.
XOXO,
hottiemb
