Whyvillians turned out in droves for the community's second senatorial elections. And the winner, by a slight majority, is OrEoBaBy. OrEoBaBy ran a popular race from the start, but that didn't keep Suga246 and Alicia from running strong, popular campaigns as well.

Almost 15,000 good votes were cast, and could be broken down as follows:

OrEoBaBy : 7,970
Suga246: 4,321
Alicia: 2,591

The three candidates pled their cases before a packed Greek Theater on Wednesday, Feb. 18. After the debate, the audience participated in three informal polls -- and each candidate won one of them! While there was no clear winner at the debate, the event gave potential voters plenty of food for thought as the candidates grappled with important issues such as the expiration of face parts, the future of plots and houses, and harsher punishments for bad behavior.

Whyville's second senator has been a Whyvillian since June 13, 2003. OrEoBaBy owns a 12-room house at Ave A & 4th St in New Town 3.

Still being debated is why this second-ever Senate election did not receive quite as many votes as the previous election.

The inauguration will be announced later -- either an update to this article, or next week's newspaper. OrEoBaBy will take the oath of office and will deliver her inauguration address.
