Hello everyone, this is kalei.

I think that the war in Iraq was unnecessary. Even though intelligence said that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, we are now finding out that this may not have been true.

There is also another aspect of it. Saddam Hussein was a terrible man -- he tortured and killed countless people and made life miserable for Iraqis who didn't agree with him -- but even though it was a nice thing for America to do when they took Saddam out of power, it was not our business. America's money should be spent on American citizens first. Citizens of another country are not our first priority.

While billions of dollars are being spent on a war that should not have existed, education (at least in our state) is going down the drain. Drugs are still being used, there are still unemployed people and illegal immigrants are still sneaking over into America and messing up the economy. I believe we should fix all that before we spend money on other nations. It is the job of charities to do stuff for other nations, not the government.
