Editor's Note: This story is based on shelly1's original article, the Twister Fish gallery, contest, and winners. Read the first and second chapters.

Whyville Storyteller

Meanwhile at the pool, a lonely newbie was wandering around whyville and came to the pool. He saw something at the edge of the pool and wandered over to see what it was. He picked it up. "What's this?" he thought. When he read it, he was horrified! He ran to the Square and told everyone: "Shelly1 has been kidnapped!"

But everyone ignored him, thinking that since he was a newbie he was just making up some story to get attention. So, since they wouldn't help him, he took his problem to City Hall.

He sent there the exact note that I had left behind at the pool's edge and described how he had found it. City Hall called a meeting to discuss the subject.

"This is a very serious matter," said City Hall very seriously. "A member of Whyville has been kidnapped."
All the city workers gasped in disbelief.
"But who would do such a thing?" said the city workers.
"A big green walking fish, that's who!" said City Hall. She had anger in her voice.
"But how do you know?" asked the city workers.
"It says right here in the note," said City Hall.
"Where did you get that note?" said the city workers.
"From a newbie. He found it by the pool," said City Hall.
"Where could she be?" asked the city workers.
"In Akbar's storage house. It says right here in the note that she was in a small room with wooden crates that say Akbar's Face Parts on them," said City Hall.
"Well how are we supposed to rescue her?" said the city workers.
City Hall grinned an evil smirk and had a twinkle of mischief in her eyes. The City Workers looked at her very oddly. "I have a plan," she said with an evil smirk.
"All of you," said City Hall, "get me all the projectiles in Whyville, have them here in 3 hours, and I will get the newbie. Remember: in three hours, be here."

They all got up quickly and silently to do their work.

3 Hours Later

"Is everyone here?" asked City Hall.
"Yes," said the city workers and the newbie.
"Ok, this is the plan: at midnight tonight, we will attack the enemy. On sight, whip projectiles at the fish. If all works, we will scare it off, and then bring the girl to saftey," said City Hall.
"That's a brilliant plan!" said the city workers.
"I know," said City Hall.

All the city workers started preparing for the attack.

Midnight That Night

The city workers, led by City Hall and the newbie, all crept over to the pool. Their backpacks filled with projectiles, they were armed and dangerous. They dived in the pool one by one.

They went in the door and down a hallway. City Hall peeked through the door in front of them, and saw the twister fish inside on the couch watching T.V. and me bound in the chair. I saw City Hall peek through. "Hurray," I thought, "I'm saved!"

"Ok," said City Hall quietly with excitement in her voice, "when i say go, push the door open and start pelting the fish with projectiles!"
"Go!" said City Hall.

They ran through the door and started pelting the fish. The fish got up and ran straight for me. "Oh no!" I thought. "Help me!" I screamed.

"Oh no!" yelled City Hall.

The newbie started running towards me. He smashed a pie in the Twister Fish's face. It dropped me and ran straight through the wall, and water started filling the room. The newbie picked me up and yelled, "Everyone! Get out of here before we all drown!"

They obeyed. He also stared running. When we reached the surface, we were all out of breath and we were gasping for air. City Hall stood up and said, "You are the bravest newbie I have ever seen. I am so thankful to you for saving a fellow Whyvillian."

The newbie blushed. After we were all dried off, City Hall called a meeting for all Whyvillians to attend. The newbie won an award for bravery, and I will always be in debt to him for saving my life.

There folks, that's my story of the Twister Fish that came to Whyville. I hope you enjoyed it.
