The distant sound of the rain,
With a "plop" as it hits the leaves,
Will serve as a beat,
For this dance among the trees.
And now, as for the rhythm,
The frogs will do just fine.
I need the perfect band
For this dance of mine.
The chorus will be the birds,
Swallows and chickadees.
Also joined with the hum
Of the colony of bees.
I have almost completed,
the greatest dance of all.
Accompanied by the squirrels,
We will have a ball!
And now that it is done,
Everything is right.
Dancing in the rain,
'Till the end of night.
